In a meeting and 6 people are here and there are 4-notetaking agents in the call as well from 4 different services. MG Siegler’s “Bots talking to Bots” blog post from 5+ years ago is almost the reality. None of us have to join, just let our bots hash it out and send us notes.
Microsoft CoPilot is integrated into PowerPoint (great). Response to me asking for a style update, “Unfortunately, I cannot make changes to your presentation directly.” Then WTF are you doing hogging up RAM and screen real estate if you can’t perform tasks?
Good progress on the dirt bike!
Working for 4 days, dirt bike restoration at night, flight to Florida on Thursday and back on Monday for work again. Going to be a very fast week.
Dirt Bike is nearly torn down to basics. Time to build it back up.
Nice evening last night
Big day. Camped last night, this morning I installed the new Weber grill frame, changed the Tiguan oil, cleaned the grill, installed a car seat, groceries and washed truck. Now, lakeside.
Long week. Low of 50 tonight will be nice. First time camping with the baby, too.
Just finished teaching my first virtual PMP Coaching boot camp. Previous ones were all in person (next 2 are in person as well). That was fun. eight days at 4.5 hours per day instead of four 9-hour days. So it is 8 evenings but I enjoyed the pace a lot. Great class of students.
Finally legal after waiting 4 weeks for a license plate.
Still so thrilled iPhone Pro models now support USB-3 speeds when you connect the proper cable. It took about 30 seconds to import a 6 gigabyte video I shot.
Final night of teaching classes for a few weeks. Money is good but I’m looking forward to a few weeks off from 17 hour days. Big weekend to do list ahead. VW Tiguan oil change, start working on the dirt bike, repair the Weber grill, lawn care and cleaning.
In addition, my battery capacity is down about 25% from new which I feel when I’m in meetings all day. I blame electron apps as well. Slack, Teams and other apps really drain the battery.
The last few months, I’m noticing more and more the M1 Max’s single-core speed being a bottleneck. I’m not at all utilizing M1 Max’s total-core speeds or the GPU cores other than a few hours a week of media creation / editing. I’m ready for an upgrade.
I think the BMW comes back tomorrow and I’ll be done with the car until I have it fully detailed and ceramic coated in August which will take 3-4 days then it’s done-done.
Before and after having the Style 135 18” Wheels remanufactured at a shop down south. $275 per wheel versus $600 each new. I’m happy with the results. Straightening, bead-blasting, powdercoat, clearcoat, new badges & center caps.
Another week of classes though so work 8-5 then classes 6-10:30 for the next 4 days. Tiring work.
Pretty darn good weekend. I didn’t get much family time last week with the day & evening work so it was just a big family weekend. Hiking, swimming, bicycling, etc. Matilda and I went around the entire lake on the bicycle (20+ miles) and rode to town to get coffee.
Hiked Franconia Notch today, My 3rd 4,000 footer. In and back in 4 hours.

Back in the day, I’d turn off my RSS Reader on April Fool’s Day. Next year, I’ll be disabling it for 4-5 days in July for this bullshit. How many times do ya’ll need to tell me iPads are $100 off?!?!
Car Update: My BMW tech has the car and has gone through all of the fluids and is diagnosing the micro-switch regulator issue with the window drop when you pull the handle. Wheels are dropped off to be re-manufactured and new door tweeters are ordered.
My wife sent me a link to a Best Buy Open Box Excellent refrigerator that lists for $2500 and discontinued as of 2024 that they were selling for $250 at our local store. I put in an order so to not lose it and we’re going to go check out the condition. Excellent usualy means no …
Tough week. 8-5 day job, daycare pickup with kid, 6-11PM teaching project management classes, up at 5AM again with the kid and repeat. 4 days this week, 4 days next week. Camping from Friday - Sunday and now I’m at the dentist doing a cleaning. yawn
Has the verge and macrumors outsourced their affiliate garbage? I’ve long asked for an affilitate fee feed from both publishers and offered to pay for it but now I’m seeing similar posts getting shared at the same time with the same products.
