Adam Chandler's Micro Blog

Last night, court side for women’s Dartmouth basketball.

Teaching 3 classes this month but all for the right reasons. Missing family time today and tomorrow though.

Midnight oil.

Blog Post about the process for getting a new car - adamchandler.me/blog/2026…

I’d honestly have to just look back at what the previous OS looked like to tell a difference. I think I’ve moved into “every day user” mode when it comes to software and I get in, do what I need and get out.

I’ve started to fast-forward all Accidental Tech Podcast segments that criticize modern Apple UI design. I get punditry and critiques are the job of the crew but I frankly haven’t thought about Apple design for a moment since upgrading. Only issue is drag corners have changed. There was …

I love it. Probably not your cup of tea though. :)

CAR SECURED!

Okay, I think I bought a car. Will share a photo once I give them the deposit pending a purchase & sale agreement.

This is NOT a joke. New AirTag comes out on the day one of my 8 AirTags started beeping like crazy and has had me re-paired it to my phone 3 times. It’s like it new a replacement was inbound.

Despite hearing enabled, I’ve had to manually clear ice off the Starlink a few times

Done with classes until next weekend. Gonna get up at 5am to snowblower.

Two weeks of weekend classes so that means 19 straight days of work w/o a day off. Good money but it’s a lot.

I did not buy a car yesterday.

Looking good!

I might buy a car today. Feeling good about this one.

Photos from today’s construction and some pics of the lake:

Need to prepare for some client work so while I have the day off, I’m creating some content for a presentation.

Now the wait begins

Week 10 video of our house remodel - www.youtube.com/watch Previous videos are in the playlist connected to this video if anyone wants to catch up.

What’s the hack to getting 3 year apple care coverage for Mac? Can you still attach it if you call them up within 60 days? You can no longer attach at time of purchase online or via settings. $149 a year is $450 over 3 years. It used to be $339 for 3 years.

It’s been like this for a year and I still absolutely HATE that Final Cut Pro just doesn’t open an import dialogue box anymore and thinks there’s a universe where a video editor would want to import an image from Image Playground into Final Cut Pro.

Another eight night PMP course as instructor in the bag!

Today’s progress.

I think I’ll be doing this for the motorcycle lift in the garage: www.blackwidowpro.com/motorcycl… and this for the automotive lift: www.quickjack.com/product/8… Photo of tool box setup which was $5600.
