It was a good weekend. Bonus, I didn’t get sunburned.

Of course this notification is an Apple services ad.

Great day on the lake today.

Fireworks time.

Two more steps left in the project. Mechanic on Monday and next week, wheels get re-clearcoated.

Broken Wheel wells and fender bolts that came lose when towing from Indianapolis have been repaired by the body shop.

Dirt bike project continues. Fresh MOTOZ Tractionator tires and tubes going on tomorrow. But I’m mailing my suspension off to California for valving and new springs along with seals so it’ll be a while until I can ride.

√ Window Tinting √Alignment √ Tires √ Body Work Oil Change tomorrow Rest of Fluids in 6 days full inspection of suspension components Wheels remanufactured in 12 days August - full ceramic OptiCoat detailing Lots to do to this 24 year old car but it’s worth it.

Project work continues. 4 Michelin Pilot 4S tires are on the BMW yesterday but they deeply scratched 2 of the 4 wheels so I’m on schedule for a wheel remanufacturing on all 4 in 2 weeks at a shop 1 hour south. Today, boy shop replaced the inner wheel wells and all fender clips / screws.

Monday. Lots to do this week.

Baby is in bed. Time for a little fire time.

Great Sunday.

Almost done. Just have to finish the rear window. Luckily the top can come half way down.

Fourth vehicle I’ve had done at Tint King in MA with LLumar Pinacle tint. 3rd car I’ve had their Air 80 product (all of my cars have been blue). I think it’ll look great. BMW’s factory tent is 10% so should bring it down to 70% (maximum in New Hampshire) and contrast well …

Once front 2 tires are installed, I drop it off Tuesday morning to have the body shop install 2 new front wheel wells I damaged while towing. I’ll do an oil change Wednesday then drop it off at a mechanic to replace all of the other fluids and cooling system. Then it’ll be ready to …

Long process to get the car sorted. Flat tire so just decided to replace all four 7-year old tires. They could only get 2 in so I did that on the rears plus inspection and alignment. Then 114 mile drive south to get the windows tinted and then I drop the car back off tomorrow for the front 2 tires.

Never owned a car with a staggered setup before which means you can’t rotate the tires. I went with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S (my favorites) which are not directional so at least I can swap left to right every 10K miles but front to back won’t be possible. $1200 for tires, mount, balance, …

Guess I’m buying new tires. These are 8 years old so it’s time.

Ugh.

Bike Lineup for Summer: Beta 390 Race - 281 pounds, 44 HP Husky 701 LR - 391 pounds, 74 HP BMW F750GS - 493 pounds, 77 HP BMW R1250GSA - 625 pounds, 136 HP

As promised, new bike. It’s very used but I needed a new trail bike and this fits the bill. It does need some work. 6K miles and needs new fork seals and suspension setup for my weight.

First ride in the new convertible. Went out for ice cream. She loves it.

It’s going to be really hot this week. The lake water is 67F. I’m looking forward to heating up that water a bit more. Back in Boston and time for my 2 hour drive home.

Leaving Nashville and heading back north.

I never thought about this but my wife is getting car sunscreen for the convertible. I guess that does make sense.
