I’ve been town between a BMW Z4 or a Porsche 718 GTS 4.0 but if I went the Porsche option, I’d have to wait and save another 2 years but Porsche announced today the 718 is now end of production in October so that has saved me some anguish.

I do have one iPad Mini Pro 7 complaint - charging speed. It’s capped at 20 watts so 2.5 hours to charge to full. It’s 90 minutes for an iPhone 16 Pro Max and iPad Pro M4 charges at about 40 watts so still about 2 hours. The mini, if it could do 30-40 watt charging would have been nice …

Power is back on. Enjoying a beer from Asheville which raised funds for the hurricane they experienced last year.
Transformer blew. Time for a beer while we wait for the power company to fix it. That was an amazing storm. Lightning over the lake.

Happy Saturday. Baby ate 1.5 eggs, 1 pack of oatmeal and 4 strawberries. 19 months old in a couple of days. Time to load up on the bicycle and ride into town for coffee.
Busy friday but really successful. Obviously still working at the moment but I went kayaking at 5AM, did a 2 mile run at 8AM, worked the morning from a cafe, got gas, showered and prepped my neighbor’s motorcycle for photos so we can sell it. Few more meetings until the weekend starts.

A day in to the iPad Mini (A17 Pro) and I kind of love it. This device may cause me to go back to a smaller iPhone. It sits perfectly between an iPhone Pro and my iPad Pro 13" I’d love a Mini Pro with an M3 or M4 chip because it’s noticeably slower than my M4 iPad.

Which means, the 70 pages of high-level notes I’ve made so I can not forget to mention something when wrapping up my 550+ PowerPoint slides I can view on my recently ordered iPad Mini (A17 Pro) instead of shuffling through 70 sheets of paper.
Successful test of Sidecar with M4 iPad + M1 MacBook Pro. Essentially MacBook Pro will project via HDMI to a projector but I can annotate things I have open on my Mac using Apple Pencil on the iPad with screen mirroring when walking students through complex concepts.
Almost done prepping for my first solo PMP Bootcamp next week that I’m teaching. Amazing to think that I’m teaching one exactly 2 years after I took a boot camp at the same place to get my certification.
