Short-Form

but today, it's Excel Hell day. My favorite kind of day.

I've started the process of acquiring two NFA items. I have been assigned an ATF agent. How fun! Curious to see just how rigorous this process is compared to how rigorous it should be. In USA, certain weapons are regulated by the National Firearms Act by the ATF. Forms, up to 1 year wait time, …

But seriously, I've been taking full advantage of my employer's professional development budget. About $8500 spent so far. I have $1500 more to spend by August on at least 2 more certs before it rolls over again. $5K a year toward training is truly amazing and I'm here for it!

I've been quiet. I've been building my new motorcycle. Did complete a 2 day scrum master training today and finally secured that certificate. The certificate list is growing! I spent the weekend in Denver. Next weekend, hiking 12 miles at least Then I go to El Salvador for work. Then I go …

@gruber — Very fair post RE: iCloud Storage. While home for Thanksgiving, almost everyone in my family was taking photos and hitting “OK" on warnings that their iCloud storage was full when opening their photo library. Either people aren't paying or are only paying for 50GB and I'm …

12 months since I had rotator cuff surgery.

In Denver, looking out over the range I’ll be riding on in in just 71 days. that snow will be melted and I’ll be on a motorcycle.

Something something country roads.

2 Days until Denver. I have too much going on to think of going to Denver right now but here we are, booking a flight to Denver.

@lakelady Thank you for the reply. The NRA and gun people seem to think any legislation is bad and while it's not a free-for-all, firearms and ammo are entirely TOO EASY to get. Basically don't be a felon and everything else is out the window. There are other requirements but honestly no one …

Is there value in blogging about my experiences with guns like I think there's a disconnect where people who own guns don't talk about what's broken about guns (politics, regulation, laws, safety) and people who oppose guns completely are the ones writing about a subject that's sort …

Things I look forward to the next generation(s) ruining: Privatized Health Insurance Social Media Cars Fossil Fuels 40 Hour work week Working on Sunday The deep link between church and state Fast Food Plastic Surgery War on drugs Reality television Please hurry up and ruin / break all of these …

@kolin @KiwiEV I see this pop up on Reddit sometimes. HD trucks aren't really defined by their bed size anyway. It's their payload capacity and therefore towing capacity that's really what matters. Of course, that assumes everyone driving one is towing which they should be. I guess I …

Great job, Reddit.

It's MLB Opening Day!

@gruber I had meant to message you about this yesterday, but having worked at Apple during the time of the HP iPod, it went even deeper in that Apple stores or Apple in general, could not service or do any warranty work or any repairs of any kind to iPods that were sold by HP

Replaced the front & rear shocks on the new BMW. Next up, wiring up nearly 35,000 lumens worth of lights. Pulls about 330 watts at 100%.

Upcoming Life Things: 1. Building out the new motorcycle (Due May 1st) 2. Take my Certified Scrum Master Exam (April 8th) 3. Take my PMI-ACP Exam (May 8th) 4. Travel to Denver for BMW meeting (next weekend) 5. 2nd extended work leave (June 13-August 18) 6. Months of Mounjaro in the fridge (4 months, …

@atow Replied to the survey. I think a solid, well built and bug-free MacOS utility should be priced way higher than $5 or less. PowerPhotos is $30 for reference. It does a lot but MacOS users don't nickle and dime over 99 cents.

Photos from Ultra Music Festival are up. I had a blast, as always - https://www.flickr.com/photos/adamjackson/albums/72177720315676127

@kolin You’re exhausted? My head is killing me.

Last stop before ultra.
