Here are the past 2 weeks of old Lambic (Belgian) beers I’ve opened from the basement. 2009-2017 vintages. We have older but those are more special occasions. Oldest is 1997.

It’s great to be home. I’ve been drinking so many old beer, cider, bourbon and mead. Tonight a 2017 cider from Vermont. Yesterday a 2012 Belgian beer. Just finished a 2010 bourbon. Need I to keep drinking down the cellar. That’s bursting at the seams.

Tough week at work but ending on a high note. Tomorrow, maple sugar house, some motorcycle riding and Sunday, flight to DC. Nationals game and some pizza.

Lake time after work.

iPod mini.

Chicken and a glass of beer. Great to be experiencing spring.

From last night, first fire of the year. Docks are in.

Getting ready for photography.

Friday night, 2018 single-field Cabernet from Ty Caton and some Fallout.

Oh I also forgot tomorrow night, community fire by the lake and putting the docks in now that the ice has fully melted.

Friday! Busy weekend ahead. Work today, concert in Boston tonight, Sugar house tomorrow for maple breakfast, Pickup U-Haul, move everything in the basement to storage shed, Clean house and do 2 dump runs, Sunday photographer comes to stage & photograph our house for sale.

Photographer coming to take photos of our house for listing on Sunday. Still haven’t found another place yet but we’ve lost 3 places for not having our home under contract so I guess we gotta do that.

Officially official. “Instructor” WHIPEEE

Second offer made today at 9AM on another home. This one in New Hampshire (we live on a border town) totally different home and significantly less. We’ll see.

I plan on re-offering to them in 2-3 weeks with a $100K increase but that the appraisal match the offer and if it fails (which it will), I’ll pay the appraised value minus 5%. They can still reject that offer, too but my offer today waived inspection and was (seriously) 50% down in cash. Crickets.

If they’re reading this, they’re priced about $200K too high for this area. It’s been listed since 9/24/2024 and it’s just sitting empty occasionally booked as an AirBNB. I’d love to live there but it’s in excess of being negative equity for 10 years if I paid what they’re asking for.

Follow up to last night’s post. Not only was my offer not accepted on the house we’re interested in, the sellers refused to respond letting the clock run out on the offer. No counter-offer, no consideration just crickets.

Sunny day for a ride to work. Roads are still a little salty and slippery though.

Lots to look forward to this week. Seeing Bright Eyes at house of blues Boston on Thursday.

Put an offer in on a home.

My wife will be home soon with Pizza brought direct from NYC. This is excellent news.

This is very upsetting.

Final (?) Spring project is wrapped up. 70,000 mile service done on the RAM (DIY) and I put back on my 22" summer wheels with brand new Michelin Defender rubber. That plus the brake job I did 4 weeks ago and we’re back in business for hauling.

Allergies. Damn trees.

Why is it my problem that people can’t remember passwords? Enable power user mode and let me login with the 50 character long password I stored that’s unique to this site. MFA is fine but unnecessary for many of these properties.
