Great hike today.

Pretty Good Day.

Matilda woke up at 6:30AM. By 9AM, she was in Canada. First Cheese Curds, First ice cream, back in USA by 11AM. Lake swimming all day, riding on a tractor, jumping on a trampoline and now she's eating watermelon and it's time for bed.

Cheese curds and dairy cows.

This begins Matilda’s 8-10 country tour this summer. Today, Canada for poutine and syrup.

I wrote this today ( 2 months after the iPad Pro M4 Release) https://adamchandler.me/blog/2024/07/17/ipad-pro-m4-2024-ding-dong-the-bloom-is-gone/

https://adamchandler.me/blog/2024/07/17/my-thoughts-on-the-apple-vision-pro/ I wrote this 5 months ago. Sorry.

If you read the comments on /r/iPad, people would have you believed anyone running an M1 iPad Pro or later shouldn’t upgrade but this thing screams. The M4 is so insanely fast that it’s unbelievable.

If my 4 terabyte iCloud Photo library’s 5 hours to scan all faces is any indication, this M4 chip is a beast. This was a 1-4 week process on previous mobile devices. I’m blown away.

Apple gonna apple. This teaser keeps prompting me to join Apple Music and won't go away. Then I click it and am informed I'm already a subscriber. I KNOW THIS. Why doesn’t apple settings?

If the iPad Pro M4 is any indication of performance, I’ll probably have to replace my M1 Max MacBook Pro by the end of this year with an M4 Max MacBook Pro.

I broke down and bought an iPad.

Second Home Summer @ the Lake house in New Hampshire. Great to be back with Heather and Matilda. Going to be a great 8 weeks!

We are back in Vermont. Time to hit the trails. #Husqvarna701 #701enduro

Finally, I submitted my paperwork to the Iron Butt Association. While I completed a 1,000 mile ride in 2020 in 24 hours, this time I completed an 1800 mile ride in 36 hours qualifying me for another tier up. I have to say 900 miles a day for 2 days on a motorcycle is zero fun but I get a sticker :P

Final map of the ride.

My 4 week, 11,000 mile motorcycle trip yielded 700 photos that I am really proud of. They're in a single Flickr Album - https://www.flickr.com/photos/adamjackson/albums/72177720318443293 Note, this is from thousands of photos captured.

It was a very long trip. This photo was taken last night after I drove from Mount Rushmore to Asheville in two days.

I told Heather when Matilda was born that we wouldn’t be able to do all of the fun stuff that we usually do and she said it’s all about priorities and she wasn’t wrong
