I'll be writing a full blog pos as to not muck up the Mastodon space for which I value those of you who follow me here and your attention but it's going to be a tough summer. I tried my damndest both last winter and this Winter to get surgery so my Summer wouldn't be interrupted and both …
@stammy Sorry to be a complainer. I enjoy your writing and was just curious. Many of my favorite sites have moved to excerpts only. It's a minimal inconvenience unless it's a blog with a lot of trackers & ads in which case I prefer the pure-RSS experience to clicking through. Your blog …
I created this visual aid representing how my surgery will impact my team at work. I do not own rights to any of these images used.
This is a photo of my right shoulder. Video coming soon.
@stammy do you have a full length RSS? Looks like it went excerpts only.
@stammy always appreciate your long form posts. I save and read them on planes.
Finally scheduled surgery for my shoulder.
Hello Monday. Sorry I didn't wish you all a great week 8 hours ago but this is going to be a super busy week. 5 doctor appointments, DMV visit, allergy season, friend visiting from new hampshire on Friday, two movies in theatres and of course, work.
Fantastic day, we left Charlotte, went north to: -Bunker Hill Covered Bridge (oldest standing in the area) -District 12 filming location from Hunger Games The Coffee Cup House...thousands of coffee cups -Blowing Rock tourist trap -Boone, NC for BBQ & Beers -Portion of Blue Ridge Parkway LONG day …
Finally received notice that fiber is available in my area. $20 cheaper than 1gig cable and 100x faster upload. Take my money.
@dpwnunder @marcoarment @gruber Speaking of the latest episode, RE: grinders, don't I feel smart for upgrading my 10 year old Virtuoso to Preciso Burrs just 6 months ago. Easy upgrade and DIY at home. Looking forward to gettin 10 more years out of my Virtuoso.
Mail.app, what are you up to?
@aruchizan@mastodon.social @gruber - thanks now I’m going through and holding random phones :P
@aruchizan@mastodon.social @gruber that and it’s just a pleasant device to hold and super grippy! Just grabbed mine for a feel test. I love the edges are soft and not rigid
@dotHTM That and a larger issue which is the glass-back repair costs continue to go up. I think it's $250 now to repair the back through Apple.
It's Friday, I was thinking of leaving work at 3PM and going down to Daytona for bike week but every time I go outside, Pollen overwhelms me and my head turns into a log. Going to just stay inside all weekend, deep clean and write.
@gruber I was a caseless iPhone user until iPhone 4 which added the glass back and for a short period in the iPhone 7/8 era, I went back to caseless but with iPhone X, it's been a case ever since. I've never broken a glass back (or front for that matter) but I much prefer the iPhone naked …
@lakelady That's a great question. Plan is to fly into the capital and hop on a motorcycle for 10 days around the country.
I'm going to Mongolia. This September or next. Can't wait to share more with you soon.
#CreedIII - Excellent cinematography and intimate visuals combined with sharp editing and lifelike action in the ring paired with a predictable Rocky-like story that doesn't deliver. #OneSentenceMovieReview
It’s official. 2023 is the year the App Store ChangeLogs are dead. Over 45 updates today and none of them indicate what changes were made. This has been getting worse for years. My pet peeve is when I update which is a destructive action only to discover a feature I used is missing or there are new …
Hmm, I've never been to Daytona Bike Week before. Might pop down for a day or two.
@Alexbrooks nice.
…also my chest freezer is leaking. Diagnosting the issue but I think it’s summer heat contributing to higher condensation paired with an aging door seal. TBD.
