@apoorplayer but that CT just chugs and chugs all day. I’m thinking Tortoise and Hare to be honest. You’ll probably win the race. More reliable and easy to maneuver.

@stammy Great post, BTW. I love how you do 2-3 a year and they’re always worth reading on the iPad with a coffee or beer. Well researched and a joy.

@stammy It’s interesting in my RSS reader it says published yesterday at 8PM.

@gruber - Well that was a damn good post.

@craignewmark spoken by a man of class and intellect.

@apoorplayer Absolutely. Schools really are a core aspect to a community. Educated and engaged children make for educated and engaged adults which means lower crime, more civic involvement, community events, volunteerism, better property values, etc.

@apoorplayer This M4 is going to scream compared to a 10 year old x86 PC with a hard drive.

@apoorplayer Kids these days have no idea how remarkable this is all is. Computers now are like black-magic-sorcery with how capable they are.

@apoorplayer The kid version of me is freaking out that we can get all the power than an M4 offers for $500. It’s insane.

@WiredDifferently My mistake. I meant Home Directory on my Mac. I do have a network attached storage server (NAS) but Hyperspace doesn’t work with that.

@mjtsai I have a 1 terabyte home director and Hyperspace said I’d save 1.4 gigabytes of data. Good to know but not worth $10 personally. Everyone’s situation will be different.

@mlm361 It’s like I’m waiting for Springsteen tickets but people keep cutting me off!

@apoorplayer For their price, I’ve heard really good things. This is our first year with one.

@harrymccracken Wow, look at those bezels.

@apoorplayer library.sportingnews.com/2021-08/m… Yep! I did not subscribe in Charlotte NC because ATL, CIN, DC were all blacked out. Back in NH and it’s just Sox which is fine as a national league primarily viewer. ATL’s is huge!

@JimRain Sounds fantastic. We’ve had a few of these around here and it seems they just don’t last very long. I see a line around the block for Taco Bell but our cheap taco place (that costs less than Taco Bell) with fresh cooked chicken and chopped veggies just closed after 2 years.

@apoorplayer Love it! You’re living the life.

@combatdavey If I’m there too long, someone will inevitably start verbally abusing staff for many dumb reasons and that’s when you remember how tough these jobs are. If my burger doesn’t have pickles, I just let it slide.

@tinyroofnail Maybe we’re getting old but I have yet to install any food apps except Uber Eats. I know there are deals in there but I just can’t bring myself to do it. I’ll order at the kiosks in the fast food joints though since most places are understaffed.

@apoorplayer Looks like a new blog idea “Sitting alone at restaurants” I exclusively drink and eat meals in the spaces so when I do have fast-food, it’s just me, the staff and a bunch of Uber Eats folks running in to grab their bags. It kind of feels like eating in a kitchen.

@apoorplayer hahaha. that makes my post a lot funnier. POS can go both ways.

@apoorplayer I just looked it up and it appears I’ve made that comparison 4 times on my blog over the last 10 years that Starbucks is McDonalds for caffeine but I guess larger topic of fast food then. These places are big and they’re all empty. McDonalds is the same. All of the seats are empty.

@liana Definitely a click-bait title. It’s functionally identical in every way to a $1100 phone that came out 6 months ago minus an ultra-wide and telephoto lens.

@mlm361 I’d also much rather give money to Micro.blog than a big hosting company or to wordpress.com directly. I honestly don’t believe that wordpress actually cares, as a company about blogging anymore. Pure blogging as a love of words is not something they’re interested in.

@apoorplayer ..and to your point, there’s a great deal of us who think we need to be on Facebook but in reality (no matter the age) it just isn’t true. I talk to my family on the telephone more than I ever did when I was”saw them” on Facebook all day.
