#NewYear = #NewCamera. I’ve been shooting for #FullFrame since 2016 with the #Canon5D Mark III and IV. The IV’s value has been dropping considerably. I got a hell of a deal on the #Canon5DMarkIV in 2019 when I paid $1500 for it from Canon directly due to a price listing error on their side. I just sold it for $1600 so not bad for 3 years of ownership. The #CanonR5 has been out for 2 years and will likely be replaced in the next 12 months so Canon has started to discount it. I picked this up for $2900 ($1000 off MSRP) and another $200-$300 off with some credit card cash back / promos I had stacked. Total upgrade cost is around $1000.

On the topic of mirrorless, I used to shoot #M43 with my Olympus PEN and OMD-1 from 2009-2015. I forgot how tiny and almost toy-like these #Mirrorless cameras feel. This thing will fit into my #tankbag much easier than the full frame 5D series ever did while packing more features. I’m sure an R5 Mark II will have more stuff but my 5DM4 was already overkill.
