@ybrammer YEP! I was on another instance for 4 weeks and when I realized that if they decide to shut down, I lose all of my posts, I decided to spin up my own instance.

Twitter never promised to host our tweets forever but being at the mercy of someone who is just offering a public service by hosting an instance of mastodon never made me feel easy especially since I can't just move tweets some place else.
