It’s weird being in the Middle East during this year’s general election. Heather has “escaped” to Vermont for 3 weeks and we’ve both mailed in our absentee ballots which were accepted. I hope when I’m back in country in 10 days, we’ll have a new president.

When the losing party draws things out for weeks, it impedes a new administration’s ability to organize, appoint and assemble for day 1. I’m really worried we’re going to be bombarded with this election until January.
