Transformer blew. Time for a beer while we wait for the power company to fix it. That was an amazing storm. Lightning over the lake.
14 mile bicycle ride to the playground and a coffee.
Winter to summer wheel swap complete.
Happy Saturday. Baby ate 1.5 eggs, 1 pack of oatmeal and 4 strawberries. 19 months old in a couple of days. Time to load up on the bicycle and ride into town for coffee.
Busy friday but really successful. Obviously still working at the moment but I went kayaking at 5AM, did a 2 mile run at 8AM, worked the morning from a cafe, got gas, showered and prepped my neighbor’s motorcycle for photos so we can sell it. Few more meetings until the weekend starts.
I wrote some things about the iPad Mini as an iPad Pro 13" owner: adamchandler.me/blog/2025…
Afternoon Cortado to get some words out.
I need to blog about this iPad mini. I waited way too long to purchase one.
After work kayaking.
A day in to the iPad Mini (A17 Pro) and I kind of love it. This device may cause me to go back to a smaller iPhone. It sits perfectly between an iPhone Pro and my iPad Pro 13" I’d love a Mini Pro with an M3 or M4 chip because it’s noticeably slower than my M4 iPad.
Lunch time ride with Heather.
Second reason for picking up an iPad Mini other than it’s cheap at $399 is we travel a lot so having a low-cost device for Matilda to paint / draw on when we’re having picnics or flying will be nice. She LOVES painting with Apple Pencil on my iPad Pro but she’s a little rough on …
Which means, the 70 pages of high-level notes I’ve made so I can not forget to mention something when wrapping up my 550+ PowerPoint slides I can view on my recently ordered iPad Mini (A17 Pro) instead of shuffling through 70 sheets of paper.
Successful test of Sidecar with M4 iPad + M1 MacBook Pro. Essentially MacBook Pro will project via HDMI to a projector but I can annotate things I have open on my Mac using Apple Pencil on the iPad with screen mirroring when walking students through complex concepts.
Almost done prepping for my first solo PMP Bootcamp next week that I’m teaching. Amazing to think that I’m teaching one exactly 2 years after I took a boot camp at the same place to get my certification.
Motorcycle inspection day.
The correct consumer behavior right now should be saving cash and keeping liquid assets, not buying things on fear that the price will be higher later. A lot of blogs I read were really pushing tariff price increases the past 4 weeks and probably profited greatly over the panic buying.
Millions of content creators, bloggers and pundits who profit on affiliate marketing played into USA consumer fears of “future high prices” to move a LOT of goods in the last 30 days. Truly abhorrent behavior.
After 7+ years with Private Internet Access VPN, I’ve moved over to ProtonVPN. $87 for 2 years. I found this wicked cool spreadsheet but was already leaning toward Proton given what friends use - docs.google.com/spreadshe…

First camp of the year.
Going camping.
I had cancelled my Sigma BF order after initial reviews came out. I just put in another order because I can’t stop thinking about this camera. Unfortunately, it’s likely back ordered until September now. Allegedly they can only manufacture 9 cameras a day. Sigh.
I need to behave but I really want to buy an airhead. Great lineup at the local dealer - maxbmwmotorcycles.cmail19.com/t/j-e-wth…
