One Week Post-Op doctor visit. Exposed my ankle and cleaned it up. It looks really great. Some swelling still around the two incisions but I can start physical therapy (non resistance / non-weight-bearing) and I'm on track to get a boot next week meaning no more scooter or crutches. YAY
Used 6.45 terabytes this month. Not bad.
MacOS Sonoma up and running on the home computer but I'm still uploading 4,700 or so videos to iCloud. Looking forward to getting that over with but thankful for 1gig fiber.
Surgery update, 6 days out and I am putting more weight on the ankle than I should. Yesterday, back in the office and knee scooter continues to come in handy. Really hoping tomorrow's doctor visit equals boot and stitches out but initially it was going to be 2 weeks on the scooter.
@charlie not as if I disabled your account but I may have disabled all comments.
@charlie That's pretty odd. Although it's something I may have disabled a while back. I'm sorry.
The only feature that tempted me from iPhone 14 to 15 was the capturing of spatial video. I don't plan on getting an Apple Vision Pro year-one but with a new kid on the way, I'm excited about the prospect of shooting spatial video and filling up my 6 terabytes of iCloud+ storage with it. At …
Had not posted my Apple purchases this year. Nothing for me but the wife got: iPhone 15 Pro Max - 512GB AirPods Pro 2 - USB-C I tried to push her to upgrade her Series 7 Apple Watch but no dice. I had decided early this year no Apple products for me this year. With the purchase of the Canon R5 & …
I looked it up. Florida law does have a carveout that any "foot propelled scooters" would still be considered a pedestrian.
This photo taken Saturday cruising around Gainesville and confused..am I a bicycle or a ped?
My knee scooter now has a cup-holder. It really is the little things in life.
Back in NC. Great weekend and we made the most of it despite my ankle situation. Saw family, went to a Gators game. My wife drove the entire time due to my ankle. Last day at home with the leg up working before returning to the office tomorrow on my knee scooter.
Also, donuts this morning were pretty delicious.
I have come to a realization that I didn’t have to finish high school. My wife and mom are very alarmed by this statement but honestly, when I interviewed at Apple, they never asked for my high school transcript. When I was a tech blogger no one required it. Startups didn’t. None of my employers …
Me and the busted ankle cheering on the gators
Retirement basically. I’m on a Florida beach with my coffee and a knee scooter.
Dixieland delight + elevated ankle. Driving down to florida…well being driven down to Florida.
Surgery went well. Time to rest.
If my wife leaves me, I’m buying this: https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/231214a7-d255-4c1c-8ee2-62c5a2856b96?aff=share_other
For work, I made an out of office surgery recovery PowerPoint...as is tradition:
On a positive note, I'm down to 253 pounds from 267. I need to really watch calories while I'm laid up for a few weeks on the couch. But I'm always excited about the opportunity to watch LOTR and Star Trek.
Well, final day in the office for a week. It's because this ankle impingement surgery takes literally 90 seconds to complete but then i can't walk for 2 months. Bodies are weird.
@kolin those pumps are SOOOO fast! and I always get DEF at the pump. That way I don't over buy or spill any.
Unfortunately, I had spent the last 12 hours re-downloading 500 gigabytes of Apple Music to my iPhone only to have it all deleted as soon as the Apple One Plan was cancelled at 3PM. Not a huge deal, it was just a lot of tapping around last night.
Apple weirdness continues but I think in a good way. 2 of the iCloud Drive purchases have been refunded. I was also kicked out of Apple Music again today and noticed my Apple One Premier plan was abruptly cancelled (11 days early) allowing me to sign back up with the cheaper Family plan. Meaning …
